SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the process of getting your website ranked on Google Search organically, by optimizing your website through Google approved strategies. You do not pay for the traffic that comes to your website.
Google Ads is a PPC (Pay Per Click) marketing method, where you pay Google to bring traffic to your website.
Think of a real life auction. Along with your competitors, you “bid” for high positions on keywords that are important to your business, and when someone clicks on your ad, you pay Google for that click. The higher you bid for a keyword, the more visibility your website gets. There is no cap on how much you can bid for a keyword.
Think about how many times in a day you pull up Google to search for something!
Google Ads gives you the ability to specifically target individuals looking exactly for your products and services, display your special offers and discounts, and even block traffic that you deem irrelevant to your business.
It also gives every business an opportunity to advertise and gain visibility no matter what their company size or marketing budget is. This is an incredible boon for SMBs who don’t have the same marketing budgets as larger corporates. There is no minimum spend required, although we do provide recommendations for budgets required to see results depending on the competitiveness of the industry.
This can happen sometimes, and there is usually a valid reason for it!
We’ve worked with many clients who join us having tried Google Ads before and have been burned! When we audit their account, we can very easily identify why their campaigns did not work for them, and more often than not, it’s the basic setup that is faulty.
Without the right experience in Google Ads, it’s easy to skip vital settings in your campaign setup that will give you poor results or worse – spend money and give you zero results.
As experts in Google Ads, we have a set of “best practises” that we have tried and tested with hundreds of clients that have given us great results! Through our experience, we can easily identify problematic issues in campaign performance and exactly what corrective measures need to be implemented.
We offer a minimum term commitment of 3 months to try us out and see the results – we’re positive you’ll see the impact on your business!
We’ll be honest – this is a tricky question.
Quite often, companies opt to work with an agency as it works out to be cheaper in the long run. What you pay an agency per month in management fees for a Google Ads campaign, or even Google Ads & SEO combined can be less than a month’s salary, benefits and equipment for 1 specialized individual to do the same.
We’ve also worked with clients who had an employee running the company’s Google Ads on the side, whilst their primary job role was something else entirely. They usually don’t have the experience to run a successful campaign and it ends up producing poor results.
We’re not saying this just because we are an agency – but your best chance for success is to go with a company that specializes in the service that you are looking for.
We’ve heard this many times before! Firstly, the representatives that call you from Google may or may not be working at Google itself. Often, they are outsourced from partner companies across the world as customer service / Google Ads representatives who don’t have as much experience running campaigns as agencies do. They are given instructions for things to implement in your account and have targets to ensure these things are done. Often, you won’t have a dedicated account manager, and the representative who helps you can change monthly or quarterly.
Secondly, Google does prioritize tactics that will automate the management of your Google Ads campaigns, as well as tactics to increase your spend ie: their revenue. We’ve come across many Google managed accounts with settings that were spending unnecessary budget.
Don’t get us wrong, Google can provide a lot of support when you are facing issues like problems with payment methods, but do be wary of giving over complete account management without having the necessary experience to understand what’s being implemented.
We pride ourselves on being completely transparent, so we do not promise instant results.
While Google says your ads can start showing “immediately” this isn’t often the case. Your ads can be on hold while being reviewed by Google, and even once they’re approved, the campaign itself can take anywhere between a few hours, a few days or even weeks of optimization before you start getting qualified leads.
We track all our clients campaigns very closely, on a daily basis to ensure that ads are always live and that there are no critical issues affecting performance.
